Which players are eligible for salary arbitration in Major League Baseball?

There are two types of players that are eligible for arbitration.

To become free agents, players must have at least six years of MLB service time. One who has been on an active roster or disabled list for less than a half-dozen seasons, but no less than three, is qualified for arbitration. In simple terms, a player with at minimum three, but fewer than six years of service time is eligible.

There is an exception to the abovementioned criteria, known as a Super Two player. Says the MLPBA:

A player with at least two but less than three years of Major League service shall be eligible for salary arbitration if he has accumulated at least 86 days of service during the immediately preceding season and he ranks in the top 17 percent in total service in the class of Players who have at least two but less than three years of Major League service.

All arbitration eligible players must not be under contract, but ineligible for free agency.
