Should the NBA expel Gilbert Arenas?
Answer: Yes
Gilbert Arenas firepower may cost him his professional basketball career. The Los Angeles natives stored concealed firearms in the Wizards’ dressing room. He and his teammate Jarvis Crittenton drew guns on each other in the locker room over a gambling dispute. And, to add insult to injury, Arenas and his teammates stupidly made light of the situation through gun gesticulation in a team huddle. Arenas is not an ignoramus. He did not mistakenly believe that his nickname, “Agent Zero,” made him a law enforcer. He knowingly broke the rules and embarrassed the National Basketball Association.
In almost all professions, the abovementioned transgressions would result in termination. If two feuding accountants, for instance, exposed guns at the office and proceeded to threaten each other, they would be fired immediately…unless their boss was an idiot. The Agent Zero state of affairs occurred at the workplace. His actions were unacceptable, dangerous, and, above all, moronic. His contract should be challenged and he should be fired.
